ANTI-WRINKLE
INJECTIONS
Many people are having treatment with Botulinum Toxin Type A to ascertain a more youthful appearance. It was first approved by the FDA for cosmetic use in April 2002 and ever since has been used in many facial rejuvenation procedures as well as it’s medical applications.
What is it?
Botox is a protein that is produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. It is a non surgical treatment that can temporarily reduce facial lines caused by overexpression of facial muscles. The botox is delivered to the muscles that cause these expression lines and temporarily prevents the muscles from contracting.
How long does it take for the treatment to work?
After treatment, the effects usually begin to show within 3-4 days but can take up to 2 weeks to fully settle.
What kind of lines can Botox treat?
Botox can safely and successfully treat wrinkles that are caused by muscle contraction. Applications of botox include:
Forehead, Glabella and Crow’s feet
Bunny lines
Treatment for gummy smiles, grinding and clenching of the teeth
Jaw reshaping
Treatment for hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating)
How long do the effects last?
This varies between individuals. Typically the effects of this type of treatment last between 3 to 6 months.

DERMAL
FILLERS
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are collagen or synthetically made materials used for injection into the dermis to augment and volumise the soft tissues. They are classified on the duration of action or by their composition. At aestheticus we use products that contain Hyaluronic acid (HA). Due to their predictable results, excellent biocompatibility and easy reversibility, HA fillers are considered the safest and most reliable dermal fillers in the British cosmetic industry.
What areas can be treated?
Generally, any area of the face that has lost volume over time or requires enhancement can be treated. Most common areas include:
Cheeks
Lips
Naso-labial folds
Tear troughs
Chin
Jowls
How long until the results show?
The results are instantaneous, and in certain areas such as the lips, there could be up to 25% reduction in size once the swelling settles.
How long do the results last?
This depends on which areas are treated and what products are used. Lip augmentations last on average 6 months whereas cheek enhancements can last up to 24 months.
Side effects
The common side effects include bruising and swelling which generally resolves within a couple of days with good post operative care.

HIFU
TREATMENTS
Our revolutionary HIFU Med is the latest non-surgical solution, that can be used as an all-in-one Face & Body tightening device.
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) heats the tissues below the deeper layers of the skin, causing it to contract and tighten. This therefore enables the health and vitality of the skin to improve and become uplifted in just one session!
How it works
Over time, collagen fibres begin to lose elasticity, which in turn causes the skin to lose its firmness and start to sag. The HIFU Med is unmatched by other non-invasive cosmetic devices, with its ability to treat the tissues usually addressed during surgical facelifts. Using ultra-sound waves, the superficial muscular aponeurotic system is targeted. The tissues are heated to a range between 60-70˚C, thus the natural wound healing process is stimulated to create new collagen and elastin.
The system is a non-invasive ultrasound focusing technique. The ultrasonic energy is delivered deep within the skin and causes a thermal reaction, high heat will directly focus on the fascia and muscle layers. The technology specifically targets the SMAS, and thus, collagen production is stimulated and the process of tissue regeneration begins. This causes tightening and lifting of the skin and tissues, resulting in a lifted appearance and a tightened feeling in the Face & Body areas.

SKIN REJUVENATION +
RE-SURFACING
We use many different treatment modalities to improve the general quality of your skin. Although our other treatments listed all provide skin rejuvenation, here are some other methods that also provide great benefit for specific skin conditions.
Chemical Peels
This involves the application of an acid to the surface of the skin. The deeper the penetration of the chemical into the skin, the more noticable the effects. Chemical peels can be used for a wide range of skin conditions including acne, dyspigmentation, photodamage, rosacea, superficial scars and deep wrinkles.
Skin Boosters
This method of skin rejuvenation involves the delivery of small amounts of hyaluronic acid (HA) filler into different parts of the skin to give an all-round natural glow, hydration and to stimulate collagen production.
Mesotherapy
The delivery of our own special cocktail of vitamins, minerals, nucleic acids and Amino acids into the skin provides much needed revitalisation, skin rejuvenation and an all-rounded healthy glow.
PRP Therapy
This is also known as the ‘Vampire Facial’ and can be used on both the face and body for improvement of skin texture, skin tone, collagen regeneration and to aid in thicker hair formation on the scalp. PRP can be used at the site of skin injury, scars and / or obvious lines and wrinkles too.Treatment results vary, however in most patients the results last up to 18 months. Touch-up treatments will maintain the results.
